Shae Chasanov
Special Counsel
Shae Chasanov is Special Counsel with the firm, focusing her practice on general insurance defense litigation as well as coverage disputes and bad faith matters. She has experience serving as an arbitrator in Rule 16.1 disputes. Ms. Chasanov started in private practice in 2007 and joined the firm in December 2021. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Chasanov’s practice included civil defense litigation, plaintiff’s litigation and landlord/tenant disputes.
Ms. Chasanov is a Delaware native. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware in 2003, where she graduated with Honors. She secured her J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 2007, where she also graduated with Honors. She was admitted to practice law in the State of Delaware in 2007, and also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
Volunteer efforts include serving as a guardian ad litem for the Office of Child Advocacy. She has been recognized for 10+ years of service to the Office of Child Advocacy. She also serves on the board of Chimes, which is an organization offering services and support to individuals with disabilities.
Additionally, Ms. Chasanov is an Adjunct Instructor for Wilmington University, in the Legal Studies program. She has taught Advanced Legal Writing, Cyberlaw and Contract Law in this role.
