Christine O’Connor
Director
Christine O’Connor is a Director with a practice devoted primarily to workers’ compensation defense. Since earning her law degree, Ms. O’Connor has spent her entire career representing employers and insurance carriers at the Industrial Accident Board and in the Delaware Superior and Supreme Courts on appellate matters.
Ms. O’Connor graduated cum laude from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 and worked for two major pharmaceutical companies after graduating. She later began her graduate studies and, as a law student, was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity (Harrington Inn Chapter) and The Delaware Journal of Corporate Law (Law Review). Ms. O’Connor earned her Juris Doctor at Widener University School of Law in 1999 and was admitted to practice law in Delaware that year. Prior to graduating, Ms. O’Connor received an award for Oral Argument and Persuasive Writing and was the 1999 Fairfax Leary, Jr. Memorial Scholarship recipient. Ms. O’Connor served as a law clerk for The Hon. Rosemary Betts Beauregard and The Hon. Merrill C. Trader in the Court of Common Pleas from 1999-2000. She was admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania in 2000. After completing her clerkship, Ms. O’Connor began her defense practice and eventually joined Tybout, Redfearn & Pell in 2007. Ms. O’Connor is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
Outside of the law, Ms. O’Connor has served as a Member of the Board of Directors for Delaware Curative Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Center (2004-2005). She has been a presenter at various local seminars focused on workers’ compensation practice and procedure. Ms. O’Connor is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is also an inaugural member of the Randy J. Holland Delaware Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court.
